In light of Cthuko’s recent decision to stop subbing this show, we at Whine-Subs have also decided to stop subtitling Yozakura Quartet. This was a group decision, and not one made lightly.

Now, some of you may require “reasons” more in-depth than our formal decision-making process, so just for a second I will humor you. Though, truly, it is difficult to even entertain the thought that you lowly leechers have ever factored into any decision we god-kings have ever made.

Reason #1: We’re getting too old for this anime shit.

Damn it feels good to be an oji-chan.

I know this may be hard to believe, but with every moment that passes, we get older. And as it is the duty of the old to be out-of-touch, constantly confused, and insistently irrelevant, we have decided to fulfill our obligations to society by not watching anime anymore. After all, the mark of a true adult is understanding that perpetual boredom is perpetual bliss.

Fuck this lewd filth.

As such, we simply cannot allow ourselves to enjoy something that could ever be construed as legitimately entertaining. Fare thee well, anime-chan-senpai.

Reason #2: We got 0 downloads with each release of the series.

I didn’t drop out of college for this shit.

We didn’t not put all that effort into the series to have absolutely no one watch any of our releases. I know fansubbing’s on the decline, but still. 0? That’s way below minimum e-penis wage. We ain’t doing this for free, folks — we have egos to feed.

Reason #3: We’re lazy.
