Translation
Karaoke.
OP and ED. Of course they didn’t do it, and to be frank I’m glad they didn’t try to attempt it.
Main Script.
They decided to just transliterate the Japanese word instead of come up with a catchy translation. For a weeb like me, that’s fine, though it probably won’t pan out for the general audience. Also, that’s their version of a “complete sentence.” You’ll be seeing those a lot in this release.
“Guys picked up erasers for me one out of three times.”
Forget the fact that they missed the moraeru (“to have something done for oneself”) at the end, do they even know what this show is about?
No, no, no, no, NO! The word machidooshi means “I can’t wait for xxx,” not this.
Holy cats. They don’t fucking know that gogatsu means May? We’re talking Intro Japanese 101 here.
Didn’t bother to typeset or even subtitle the damn title.
For the billionth time, “sluts” not “bitches”.
No, it’ll be bad if he skips.
Shorty Aliens from G***z.
A what? This is supposed to be “Shimada from P***syte.”
This is probably the least significant of the TL mistakes in this release, but the “I didn’t say anything” should be present tense, not past.
They wisely chose not to sub the engrish.
Holy gods. Gestaltzerfall, not “ruined self image.”
Short AND flat.
Make it a sweep for all sub groups (including me) that didn’t get this line right.
Apparently kikonashi (dressing well) equals “no jacket” in their world.
No, it’s no “Wii”. Here, let me show you…
It pays to pay attention. See the katakana? It says ui-ire or “Winners Eleven” in Engrish.
No, if SHE was his older brother.
“A half day, huh?”
Didn’t bother adding the stuff about ditzes and skirtchasers.
A private room, not a soundproof room.
Apparently they mistook koko (here) with koukou (high school) and came up with this line, which was supposed to be “Don’t do it here.”
Other Observations
They forgot to add the font to their release, so you will end up with this.
They haven’t heard of the word “keyframe.”
These line are, in fact, the only two lines that are grammatically correct in this entire release. I’m not even kidding. Otherwise you have missing capital letters and ending punctuation for every goddamn line.
Final Grade: D-
What the hell were they thinking in putting out this dogshit release? The only thing keeping it from not being an F is the fact that it looks like they kinda-sorta tried.
